 RCP Site Visit guests
On the roof of the Wintergarden Shopping Centre | 21 February 2012 Site Visit - Wintergarden
The new Wintergarden Shopping centre provides significantly improved access and amenity from the Queen Street Mall, Elizabeth Street and Edward Street. It also provides 80+ retail, lifestyle and food & beverage outlets with new high class finishes and upgraded services to ensure that it is well positioned to attract specialty tenants never been seen before in Brisbane. The contractor was Brookfield Multiplex and final completion was achieved in April 2012.
Comprising an inner city location, a major 4 star hotel above and adjoinging 3 street frontages, the most significant challenge for the team was to co-ordinate major refurbishment works whilst tenants continue to operate. In addition, co-ordination and integration of ISPT's adjoining future development of The Regent site, which is a proposed to integrate with the Wintergarden once fully completed.
As part of the Site Visit, RCP's project team provided an insite into the project and some of the construction challenges faced. RCP provided Project Management and Project Programming services to ISPT for the Wintergarden redevelopment project.
