RCP Australia has appointed@ Peter Hyland as a Board Advisor effective from 1 July 2024. Peter is an internationally experienced advisor on business strategy, urban planning and development and urban economics. RCP Managing Director, Greg Atkinson said of the appointment, “Peter is a highly experienced property professional, Board Member and Certified Chair of Advisory Boards. I am confident that Peter is well suited to work with the directors in all areas of business strategy.” Peter was the founder of Urbis in Queensland nearly 25 years ago and a senior Board member of Urbis as it grew nationally into the largest firm of its disciplines in Australia. In 2016 he moved to Singapore to establish the international business of Urbis. Since returning to Brisbane in 2021, Peter has remained actively involved in the property industry, with other formal board member and advisory engagements in addition to his role as RCP Board Advisor at RCP. Welcome Peter! We are pleased to have your guidance as RCP moves forward in its next phase.
RCP Australia’s director Ian Kerr, is sailing off into the sunset… literally. On 28 June, Ian is retiring from RCP to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of the Noosa Shire Hinterland, with a big shed and a modest sailboat to explore the Noosa everglades. Ian would have liked to have gone with minimal fanfare, which he has managed to so far, but we couldn’t let him go without making it ‘LinkedIn official.’ With 48 years in the property and construction industries and more than half his working life at RCP, Ian has been a favourite amongst staff, clients, contractors, and his industry peers. Ian… we will miss your cheery disposition, surprise Weiss Bar and Cherry Ripe treats, your informative ‘historic Brisbane’ emails and your proclamation of “wizardry!” on discovering new marvels of modern invention. Go well Ian!
Last week RCP Australia’s Brisbane-based clients, consultants and industry friends gathered to celebrate the past, present and future of RCP. Held at Customs House, the occasion welcomed Greg Atkinson as incoming Managing Director as of 1 July 2024 and acknowledged the stellar careers of outgoing Managing Director Russell Martoo and Director Ian Kerr who are retiring from the business. Thank you to everyone who joined us – your attendance made it a night to remember!
