The RCP Townsville team is proud to have recently won the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Project Management Achievement Award (PMAA) Queensland chapter regional award for the - Mater Private Hospital Townsville: Mercy Centre, held virtually on Thursday 25 November.
RCP was engaged by Mater to provide project management and programming services for the construction of the Mercy Centre. The project involved construction of a 4 storey clinical services building, including a new digital imaging facility, state-of-the-art digital operating theatres, day surgery unit and a new hospital entrance.
The RCP Townsville team, Richard Foster and Nathan Shepherd, managed all aspects of the development, from design development, client stakeholder engagement, consultant procurement, design, contractor tendering and tenant integration.
The Mater Pimlico Mercy Centre now provides contemporary medical facilities and technology to service the community with industry-leading treatment and care.

As corporate partner, RCP attended the @propertycouncil’s ‘Positioning our City for the Future’ event, at The Ville in Townsville on Friday 26 November.
The event included local political and business leaders including CR Jenny Hill, Mayor Townsville City Council; John Carey, Partner Wilson/Ryan/Grose Lawyers; Ranee Crosby, Chief Executive Officer Port of Townsville and Stephen Motti, Senior Principal Brazier Motti, who provided insights into the exciting new growth opportunities for Townsville, including leverage from interstate migration, the 2032 Olympics, hydrogen resources and a range of new projects and investments proposed for the city.
It’s pleasing to see that the confidence in the Townsville property industry is at an all-time high.

RCP was delighted to be the major sponsor of the @propertycouncil launch event - ‘Brisbane’s Interim City Centre Master Plan’. The PCA did a fantastic job of hosting the event, which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane’s CBD, on Tuesday 23 November.
The event involved the unveiling of the masterplan and the actions the city will take to boost the revival of Brisbane’s CBD, due to the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The panel of guest speakers included Deputy Mayor Krista Adams; Simon Crooks, Project Director - Destination Brisbane Consortium; Katrina Warren, Regional Manager - Vicinity Centres; Tim Weston, CEO - Student One and moderator Jen Williams, Deputy Executive Director - Property Council of Australia.
We are excited to see the range of short-term activations and programs of activity that will be implemented to attract people and investment back to Brisbane’s CBD.
