RCP South Australian Team Wins 2019 AIB Professional Excellence in Building Award

June 6, 2019

RCP is delighted to have been awarded the 2019 Australian Institute of Building South Australian Chapter Professional Excellence in Building Award in the project management category for our outstanding achievement on the St Andrew’s Hospital eastern clinical development.

The award was presented to RCP Director, Richard Little and Project Manager, Hayden Kiss at the ceremony, held last Friday night at the National Wine Centre of Australia.

As RCP team leader, Richard oversaw the St Andrew’s Hospital eastern clinical development, designed by wiltshire + swain and constructed by Mossop Construction and Interiors from concept design to completion. Richard successfully guided the St Andrew’s Hospital project team through the many challenges associated with undertaking this fast track development in an operational hospital environment, resulting in the delivery of a world-class facility, on time and on budget.

The $50m development was the largest to date for the hospital and comprised the construction of a new day surgery centre, 28 bed ward, staff gym and new three level basement car park; relocation of the central sterile services department (CSSD) to the former procedure/angio suite area and the redevelopment of the existing service compound and plant building to accommodate a new tri-gen (electrical) power plant.

Congratulations to Richard, Hayden and the St Andrew’s Hospital project team for their outstanding achievement on this highly successful development!
