480 Queen Street Office Revitalisation

April 14, 2025

Congratulations to our client Dexus who recently completed a major building revitalisation project at 480 Queen Street, Brisbane!

Dexus is leading the way with attracting workers back to the office with building owners are rejuvenating existing spaces and amenities for their current tenants. In the current market, many tenants are seeking to provide better workplace experiences and wellbeing for staff while balancing cost pressures.

Tenants can now enjoy activities such as yoga, boxing and massages. The working environment at 480 Queen Street extends from the desk to areas in the building which provide informal and relaxing meeting/working spaces. This is complemented with wellbeing facilities to ensure tenants can enjoy time to ‘switch off’ from the busy working environment and schedules. RCP provided project management and programming of the 480 Queen Street revitalisation works.

These included:

– Refurbishment of Level 10 -17 for a major tenant

– Upgraded Lobby (Adelaide Street entrance) featuring a striking digital artwork and introduction of a barista bar in place of a full-service café providing more seating/workspace areas extending outside typical tenancy areas.

– Redeveloping underutilised areas to provide facilities tenants are seeking e.g., wellness centre (available to all building tenants)

– Upgraded EOT facilities – with steamer & towel service, post exercise ‘cool room’, ample locker storage, plentiful bicycle and scooter racking.

The major upgrade saw levels 10 – 17 refurbished including EOT facilities plus lobby security upgrades. This complex upgrade also involved a base building plant and services upgrade.

RCP Managing Director, Greg Atkinson commented, “Upgrading entrance lobbies and end-of-trip facilities and offering sophisticated and updated building interiors are more affordable or practical than the creation of brand-new premises.”
