It’s awards’ season and we are excited to share that our GPO Adelaide Marriott team was recognised with a High Commendation from the Australian Institute of Building SA/NT chapter.
Led by Project Manager Natasha Kousvos, RCP provided project management, superintendent, and programming services.
The $200M Marriott Hotel comprises a new 15-storey tower and refurbishment and fit-out of the existing General Post Office heritage building. The hotel features 285 rooms, presidential suite, club lounge, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness centre and function rooms.
The team faced the challenges of incorporating a heritage listed landmark GPO building, seismic upgrades, a complex façade installation within the Adelaide CBD. The project was completed on 1 July 2024 in time to welcome its first guests on 22 August 2024, the day of the Grand Opening.
