RCP was appointed by Queensland Airports Limited to provide project management and superintendent services for the redevelopment of the Mount Isa Airport terminal building.
A key consideration was the emphasis on achieving energy efficiency for environmental sustainability. A significant challenge was to maintain a fully operational terminal building while completing the transition to new facilities.
The expansion of the airport terminal facilities comprised a new arrivals area, baggage reclaim, expansion of the sterile departures lounge, and expansion of the management offices.
