RCP was engaged by Mulpha Norwest Pty Ltd, to provide project management and project programming services for the Norwest Quarter Stage 1 development in Sydney.
The mixed-use development comprises 196 dwellings and 3,300m2 of retail across two buildings, which include 14 storeys (Building B) and 23 storeys (Building C) centred around a central plaza with shared basement parking.
Building B was designed by Smart Design Studio and Building C by Bates Smart. The project also has a strong ESD ambition of targeting 100% renewable energy, fully electric and gas-free, and designed to consume 50% less electricity from the grid, reducing both carbon emissions and household costs. The development incorporates solar rooftops, EV charging infrastructure, low-emission building materials, and circular economy initiatives such as recycled water for toilets and onsite organic waste treatment.
Following Stage 1 early contract involvement (ECI), consultant procurement, design, contractor tender and award, construction commenced in August 2022 and reached Practical Completion in late 2025. RCP played a pivotal role in achieving the project’s ambitious goals.
